Andy Brown developed ‘Pennine Motorcycle Tours’ from his love of the open spaces of England and Wales. The main tours follow three of the countries well established long distance footpaths; the Pennine Way, Coast to Coast Path and Offa’s Dyke Path. If you walked these in your younger days, then re-visit them. This time it won’t take you quite as long!
The tours give the biker a chance to ride some of the best roads in the north of England and Wales, from historic trans-Pennine routes to high mountain passes in the Lake District and North Wales.
It is also a chance to see some important industrial, geological and historical sites, as well as catching site of an Osprey or Red Kite.
The pace is steady! You are on holiday! So enjoy the stunning views from the saddle while all other things are taken care of, like route finding, breaks and lunch stops.
The accommodation is all family run, the food is great, and the three tours each offer unique experiences; explore the longest canal tunnel, see how the Romans lived high on the moors, travel on a transporter bridge over the Tees, visit famous TV and film locations.
The tours are suitable for all riders of whatever experience. Those who have recently passed their test need not be put off. The only way to gain more confidence and develop skills is to ride your bike, especially with like-minded people.
