My Dad's been riding bikes since he was a kid (40+ years) but he's never had a bike trip to foreign climes, so we decided to head for Santander and go up through the Pyrenees and through France.

The day was looming quickly and my eldest son and I were getting excited but extremely nervous. Our Leathers arrived a few days before we were due to go, tried them on and paraded around the house showing off to the family, fully kitted now, leathers, boots, back protector, helmets and gloves, what a pair of wallies.

A couple of months ago I thought I'd go for a quick ride.  It was a beautiful Sunday with crystal clear blue skies and the roads were really quiet.

Headed out of town and up towards the Mendips for a bit of a blast, leaving my cares and worries behind - fantastic.
